While Fenders marquee guitars of the 1950s,
the Telecaster and the Stratocaster, continued as the brands
standard bearers into the `60s (and continue to be today),
Fender had attempted to lure another group of players with
the higher-class Jazzmaster and Jaguar. While
these guitars did not enjoy much popularity in their initial
production runs, numerous players over the years have rediscovered
these guitars and their numerous innovations. The Jaguar is
an excellent indie rock guitar and a slide monster. One can
see that this Jaguar has always been a players instrument,
and with all original parts intact and brand new fretwork
by Mike Dolan, it continues to be one to this day.
